How do I heat my meals?

We recommend that you follow the temperature label for your item. Bowls marked “C” are best enjoyed cool or room temperature. Bowls marked “W/C” are delicious warmed or cool/room temperature. If you decide to warm your meal, food must be transferred to a heat-proof container. We suggest warming meals in the oven, covered with a heat-proof lid or foil, at 325F for 20 to 25 minutes. Alternately, you can microwave food on medium heat for 2 to 4 minutes.

Can Devon Walsh Foods accommodate my allergies?

We are happy to accommodate allergies for an additional fee. Please keep in mind that dairy, soy and nuts could have been processed in our kitchen. For this reason, substitutions are not intended for severe allergies.

What can I expect from the Low-FODMAP Solution meal delivery program?

In addition to being low-FODMAP, meals on the Low-FODMAP Solution are designed to be well balanced and delicious. Meals will always contain starch, vegetable and sauce components, with the option to add a protein.

What low-FODMAP guideline does the food follow?

Meals follow the low-FODMAP guideline developed by Monash University http://www.med.monash.edu/cecs/gastro/fodmap/ Some ingredients, like raisins, are dose-dependent in terms of FODMAP content. In small doses they are low-FODMAP, and in large doses they are high-FODMAP. In order to properly adhere to a low-FODMAP diet, it is important to consume meals as they are portioned ie. do not eat two salads for lunch, or 3 snacks at one time.

How do I communicate my delivery preferences ie. where to leave the bag, etc.?

When you are a first-time customer or are creating an account, we ask for your delivery preferences. You are able to change your delivery preferences any time you order if necessary.

How are meals delivered?

Meals are transported and delivered cold in insulated bags with freezer packs. When you are done with your insulated bag and cooler pack, we will be happy to recycle them for you. Please leave them out for the delivery team to pick them up on your next delivery. Each unreturned bag and cooler pack will result in a $5 charge. Please note that while we do everything in our power to ensure a timely delivery, circumstances outside of our control like weather, traffic, etc., can affect the entire route. We appreciate your patience and will keep you notified should this be the case.

What if I’m outside the delivery zone?

We cannot delivery outside the delivery zone at this time. We are looking to expand in the future, and would appreciate learning where potential customers are located to serve people better.

What if I can’t be home during the delivery time.

If you know you won’t be home during delivery hours, please indicate when you order where meals can be safely dropped off.

When are my meals delivered?

Your week of meals are delivered on two separate days in order for you to receive the freshest meals possible. Delivery days are Sunday and Wednesday evenings with two delivery windows: 6 PM - 8 PM and 8 PM - 10 PM.
